Valentine's Day lasts for 31 more minutes as per my clock, so we're still on schedule.
Valentine's Day used to be a day when lovers used to declare their love with true sincerity (That is not a line from 'Whispers of Immortality'). It used to be a day when honest and true love was in the air. Poems, good or bad, meant the world to the recipients - After all, it's the thought that counts.
Now, Valentine's Day is a day where people buy expensive huge gifts for their so-called 'Valentines' and try to impress them.
What happened to poems written with true feelings?
What happened to hand-made cards (not the ones you buy from the shops and then sign your name on the envelope)?
What happened to.....What happened to Valentine's Day? The REAL Valentine's Day?
I feel that hand-made cards hold more value than shop-made ones. Poems and from-the-heart messages(even "roses are red, violets are blue," - no matter how cliched - is better than just giving your Valentine a big gift and then expecting him/her to be happy because of the money you spent on the gift) are lovely gifts.
Love exists all the time for all the people in all forms. That statement is true, no matter what you say(please do say/comment). You just have to find it and that may require some work on your part.
The funniest part, people without Valentines are considered to be unlucky.
"Aww.. poor thing! She's/Hes' single on Valentine's Day.."
To the people who are celebrating Valentine's with their partners (includes my parents - who just got back from dinner) - I'm not trying to ruin your day. I'm just trying to say that people without Valentine's are not "unlucky". After all, it's just another day of the year to certain people, whereas others think of it as the most romantical (is that a word?!) day of the calendar year.
I'm getting sleepy now and i need to apologize to Kapil and Radhika. I know you both are going to say, "This post was not what i expected." But HEY! It's 11.42 in the night, and i'm really tired.

Another year...Another Valentine's day...another Valentine??....I dont think so...I mean...If i had one..i woudn't be sitting up at 11.45 am..writing this...
so..in the world...millions of ppl may be receving roses/teddies/chocolates/cards...a little of all maybe from their loved ones...or probably someone is asking someone else to be their Valentine as i speak...
so while ppl are 'making happy'...there are some unfortunate cases where ppl are experiencing the ''bad'' side of v-day...
Take for example this guy i know...[take him to be Harry...]...well..he likes this girl..[take her to be Sally...]...now Harry likes Sally for abt 4 yrs...and since its Valentine's day...he decided to finally ask her out...so...he very sweetly sent her a card through a mutual freind..[handmade one mind you..]..and Sally being one heck of a stuck up didnt even consider looking at the card...[awww...poor Harry..]
how sad...
now example no.2...not being able to meet that cute 4th grader..[awww..][[some of us can totally relate to this..]
now here are some of the reasons ppl have a bad Valentine's day..
1] you don't have a date [sad state]
2] you got dumped/rejected by your date...or you're having a fight with ur bf/gf...[sadder situation]
3...the saddest situation of them all..[and no..its not abt that adorable 4th grader]...is when you like someone and don't tell them...
but at the end of the day..it doesn't matter if you have a date or not..if you do..well and good....but if you don't..just make the most of the day and spread some love..!!!
